“LEGENDARY” PHARMACY ROBBER

CVS Robbery

(DELAWARE COUNTY, OH) March 8, 2010- The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that occurred today at the CVS Pharmacy located at 3488 Seldom Seen Road in Powell. Just before 10:30 a.m., a man handed a pharmacist a note claiming he had a gun and demanding pharmaceutical drugs. The man stole Oxycontin and the generic form of Percocet and fled the scene on foot.

Sheriff Walter L. Davis III said: “The man never showed a gun, but he claimed to have one. We aggressively work to solve every crime. Our concerns are heightened when a weapon is suggested.”

The Sheriff’s Office was able to obtain a photo of the robber from the pharmacy’s security camera. The robber is described as approximately 5′10” with a slender build. He has five to six days of facial hair growth (short beard.) A hood covered his head, making it impossible to see his hair color. His eyes were shielded by glasses. The robber was wearing a black sweatshirt with the word “legendary” on the shirt.

Please review the attached image and share it with the public. Anyone with information about the robbery or who may be able to help detectives identify the robber is asked to call the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office at (740)833-2800.

Sheriff Davis said: “We consider members of our community to be our partners in public safety. Any piece of information a citizen may have, no matter how small it might seem, would be helpful.”
