Bauslaugh, 24, is charged with aggravated robbery. He was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at his home located at 1733 Slack Road in Delaware, Ohio.
The crime happened Monday, March 8 at approximately 10:30 a.m. The robber handed a pharmacist a note claiming he had a gun and demanding pharmaceutical drugs. He stole Oxycontin and the generic form of Percocet and fled the scene on foot. A store surveillance camera captured a photo of the robber. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the word “Legendary” on the front.
Sheriff Walter L. Davis III said: “We always hope for tips to aid in our investigation. But we can not wait for the answers to come to us. Our detectives pursued several angles and truly solid investigative work led us to solve this crime.”
“We realize the dangers these drugs can provide to our youth,” stated Sheriff Davis. “That’s something we are not willing to accept.”
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office did recover some of the stolen pharmaceuticals. Tonight, Charles Bauslaugh is held in the Delaware County Jail.
